When I met the President of this NGO, I was so enamored with the purpose of these volunteers, that I offered to shoot a series of photos with the hope of capturing the energy behind the Klown Doctors and the young smiling faces. Truly a case of laughter being the best medicine!
The signature red nose brings smiles and laughter all around, and just like that, pain and sorrow fade away from the faces of hospitalised children. While this might be temporary, it is still truly remarkable to watch their expressions change and hear the laughter bounce around the gloomy wards. Doctors, nurses, patients and parents alike are all protagonists in the colourful world of Dr Klown!
